The casinos are gaming areas frequented by serious gamers. To keep a tab on them, the American Gaming Association, known better as the AGA looks into matters. It is a association belonging to the United States Gaming Industry. Founded in 1995, its goals include promotion, education and lobbying for the gaming industry, using advocacy and education as its weapons of choice. It takes care of issues affecting its members, employees and customers, including troubles in federal taxation, travel and tourism rules, regulatory rules, and other such matters that tend to create regulatory, federal or legislative issues for the people.
Also on its list of duties is provide the public, media, and decision makers with timely and accurate data, regarding the gaming industry’s current status, gains and losses, house offers, etc. This association includes all major financial and professional service providers, major casino operators, gaming service providers, and also the various state and local representatives of gaming associations.
With its headquarters in Washington D.C., it organizes the annual gaming trade show, a major crowd-draw, the Global Gaming Expo. This is held annually in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, generally n the month of November. Ever since 2007, it has been one of the most famous gaming expos the world over.
